Where Everyone is Going This Summer: Allianz Partners USA's Top 10 Travel Destinations

It's that time of the year again - when we start planning our summer travel. Allianz Partners USA recently released its Top 10 Summer Travel Destinations review and the results are quite interesting.

Once again, Orlando and Cancun have topped the list, showing that they remain firm favorites among travelers worldwide. We're not surprised to see Hawaiian islands like Honolulu, Oahu and Kahului, Maui featuring amongst the top destinations this summer season. Other US cities making it to the list include Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami.

The trend of international travel is still going strong with Cancun in first place followed by other Mexican spots like San Jose del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Caribbean islands such as Aruba, Jamaica, Bahamas and Turks & Caicos also ranked highly in Allianz's review. London is the only European destination mentioned which shows that travelers are still drawn to its charm this summer.

Survey results suggest that the most popular trip length for international trips is seven days while domestic trips were split between six and seven day stays. Popular departure dates include May 27th, June 10th and 17th; as well as July 1st.

Daniel Durazo from Allianz Partners USA believes that Orlando and Cancun provide great experiences for travelers, but he stresses the importance of purchasing travel insurance before your departure.
