Lounge Access Decision Guide 2026: Can I Get In?

We sell this download. Roaming Cactus also earns commissions on some affiliate links elsewhere on the site. This page is not a card offer. How we make money.

The Lounge Access Decision Guide is a printable PDF for “can I get in?” It walks card access, Priority Pass, airline status, and the ticket. It is a rules sheet, not a new lounge review.

Who it is for

It is for travelers who read a lounge guide before a trip and want one page that sorts those four ways in.

What you get

  • A printable PDF with the decision order: card, then Priority Pass, then airline status, then the ticket.
  • A guest-rule checklist: what to confirm before you fly. It is not a guest-fee table.
  • Airport notes that start with JFK Terminal 8 and the American Flagship lounge at ORD.
  • The reviews already on this site stay the reviews. This file does not replace them.

What stays free

The JFK Terminal 8 guide and the Flagship ORD review stay free, and so does every other lounge page. The paid file is the printable decision order and the guest-rule checklist you can take to the airport.

Free preview

The decision order in the first edition. Guest fees are not listed here. Confirm them on the airline or lounge page the day you fly.

  1. Card: which lounge network the card itself includes on this trip.
  2. Priority Pass: whether this visit is a Priority Pass lounge, and who counts as a guest.
  3. Airline status: elite access, which can differ from the card.
  4. Ticket: cabin or fare rules for that flight.
  5. Confirm the guest rule on the airline or lounge page before you leave for the airport.

Updates

Last verified October 5, 2026 PT. Guest rules change. We plan to re-check them against the airline or issuer page about once a quarter, and again before we email a new file. That plan is not a promise that every rule is current on a given day. Your card, status, and ticket terms control. Your card terms control.

FAQs

What’s the difference between card lounge access and airline elite lounge access?

Card access follows the card and the lounge network named on that card. Elite access follows airline status, and the guest rule can differ. The guide keeps those as separate steps so you check the one that applies.

Where should I confirm guest policies before I fly?

On the airline or lounge page for that visit, the day you fly. The PDF lists what to look up. It does not replace that page.

Does this guide replace our JFK Terminal 8 or Flagship ORD reviews?

No. Those reviews stay on the site, free. The guide is a printable decision order you can use with them. It is not a new first-hand lounge review.

Which airports are covered in the first edition?

The first edition starts with JFK Terminal 8 and the American Flagship lounge at ORD, plus the card, Priority Pass, status, and ticket steps that apply at other airports.

How do Priority Pass and airline lounges fit in the decision order?

After card access and before airline status. You check whether the lounge on this trip is a Priority Pass lounge, then whether status or the ticket is the path that actually gets you in.

How often are guest rules re-verified?

About once a quarter, and again before a new file goes out. The date on this page is the last verification. Your card, status, and ticket terms control if a rule changed after that.
