How the Award Price Is Set

World of Hyatt sets award prices from a published chart. Each of the eight hotel categories has five levels, named Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper, and Top. Hyatt’s release dated February 25, 2026 announced the expansion from three levels to five, with the updated framework taking effect in May 2026.

Published chart: The release says World of Hyatt remains committed to a published award chart with fixed point thresholds rather than moving to dynamic pricing for award nights at Hyatt hotels and resorts.
Upper and Top: The release says limited hotels will move a limited number of nights into Upper and Top in 2026, with broader adoption in later years.
Category changes: The release says yearly category changes are announced in April, and reservations booked before a category change are honored as booked.

The World of Hyatt Credit Card is issued by Chase. Its two free night awards are described in the Chase offer details linked above.

Anniversary Free Night Award: One night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance at hotels and resorts designated Category 1 through 4, issued to the primary cardmember. Issuance can take up to 10 weeks after the cardmember anniversary, and the account must be open and not in default.
Spend award: A one-time bonus each calendar year after $15,000 in purchases: one night in any available standard room within 12 months of issuance at Category 1 through 4, issued to the primary cardmember, with up to 8 weeks after qualifying for issuance.
Limits on both: Not valid at any other category or at Miraval, Hyatt Zilara, or Hyatt Ziva. Not redeemable for packages. Must be used on a reservation whose checkout is before the award expiration date. An authorized user does not receive either award.
Fees: Resort, destination, or facility fees, where charged, are waived for the specific redeemed free night, excluding Hyatt Residence Club resorts. Other fees, such as a service fee for room service, are not waived.
Reclassification: A reclassification of a hotel does not affect a previously booked award reservation.
