Citi to JAL and LifeMiles: Which Cards Get Which Ratio
Citi's JAL terms read: "Offer is valid for points transfers to JAL Mileage Bank miles completed between 12:01 AM ET September 20, 2026, and 11:59 PM ET October 24, 2026." The LifeMiles offer runs over the same dates.
The bonus applies to each card's normal ratio. Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, Prestige, and AT&T Access More cardmembers get 1,300 JAL miles or 1,250 LifeMiles per 1,000 points. Citi ThankYou Preferred, Citi Strata, Citi Double Cash, Citi Custom Cash, Citi ThankYou Mastercard, and the other listed AT&T cards get 910 JAL miles or 875 LifeMiles per 1,000 points.

Qatar Airways Avios Bonus on Citi Points
Qatar Airways pays this bonus, not Citi. Citi's Points Transfer page lists the standard Qatar ratio: 1,000 Avios per 1,000 points on Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, Prestige, and AT&T Access More, and 700 Avios on other ThankYou cards. Qatar's terms then add bonus Avios based on each single conversion:
- 15% bonus Avios when converting up to 49,999 Avios.
- 25% bonus Avios when converting between 50,000 and 99,999 Avios.
- 35% bonus Avios when converting 100,000 or more Avios.
The tiers apply to each transaction, not to the month's total. For example, 50,000 points from a Citi Strata Premier become 50,000 Avios, and the 25% tier adds 12,500 bonus Avios. Qatar's terms say bonus Avios "will be credited to a Member’s Privilege Club account by 30th November 2026."
