Hilton Aspire vs Surpass vs Honors Amex 2026: Diamond vs Gold vs Free Night Math
Hilton Aspire vs Surpass vs Honors Amex 2026: Diamond vs Gold vs Free Night Math
The Hilton Honors American Express ladder is a fee and status trio: Aspire at $550 with complimentary Diamond, Surpass at a standard $150 with complimentary Gold, and the no-fee Honors Card at $0 with complimentary Silver.
Free Night Reward math splits the same way — Aspire’s anniversary Reward (no spend) plus optional $30,000 / additional $30,000 spend nights, Surpass’s one spend Reward after $15,000 calendar-year Card spend with no automatic anniversary night, and no ongoing Free Night Reward on the no-fee card.
Which Hilton Amex card is best in 2026 depends on stay frequency, whether you will work the fee against published credits, and which status tier you will actually use — there is no universal winner on the issuer pages.

At a Glance
- Fees: Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card $550 ; Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card standard fee $150 (some Amex referral URLs show a $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 — that is channel-specific offer copy, not the standard fee on the Hilton card hub and Amex Hilton category page); Hilton Honors American Express Card $0 .
- Complimentary status while the Card is held: Aspire = Hilton Honors Diamond; Surpass = Hilton Honors Gold; no-fee Honors = Hilton Honors Silver.
- Spend upgrades (calendar-year Card spend, through the end of the next calendar year): Surpass can move to Diamond after $40,000 ; no-fee Honors can move to Gold after $20,000 . Aspire already carries Diamond with no spend trigger.
- Recurring credits: Aspire — up to $200 semi-annually on eligible purchases made directly with participating Hilton Resorts (up to $400 per year), up to $50 quarterly on eligible flight purchases (up to $200 per year), up to $219 per calendar year for CLEAR+ paid with the Card, plus a separate up-to- $100 Waldorf Astoria / Conrad path on a 2-night minimum Aspire Benefit rate booking. Surpass — up to $50 each quarter for purchases made directly with a property in the Hilton portfolio (up to $200 annually). No-fee Honors — no resort, Hilton-property, flight, or CLEAR+ credit on the ongoing benefits list.
- Aspire Free Night Rewards: one complimentary Free Night Reward in the first year of Card Membership and every year upon Card renewal (no spend trigger on that Reward); each calendar year, another after $30,000 in purchases on the Card, and another after an additional $30,000 in the same calendar year (three Free Night Rewards possible in a calendar year if both spend tiers clear).
- Surpass and Honors Free Night Rewards: Surpass earns a Free Night Reward after $15,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year and has no automatic anniversary Free Night Reward on the terms retrieved September 23, 2026. The no-fee Honors Card has no ongoing anniversary or spend Free Night Reward on the Amex benefits list; a welcome Free Night Reward appears only inside the dated Hilton hub offer that ends 1/13/27.
- Earn contrast on eligible purchases: Aspire 14X Hilton portfolio hotels and resorts / 7X flights booked directly with airlines, AmexTravel.com, or the Amex Travel App, car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies, and U.S. restaurants / 3X other. Surpass 12X Hilton portfolio / 6X U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations / 4X U.S. online retail / 3X other. No-fee Honors 7X Hilton portfolio / 5X U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations / 3X other.
- No cap printed / do not value the Reward: Amex Aspire, Surpass, and Honors product/benefits pages retrieved September 23, 2026 do not print a dollar maximum or a Hilton-points maximum on co-brand Free Night Rewards. Redemption is a Hilton Free Night Reward subject to Hilton award-room rules. Do not assign a dollar value. Current issuer marketing uses Free Night Reward language.
Real-World Examples
Example 1 — Occasional Hilton / no-fee Honors
You stay Hilton only a few nights a year, will not reliably use a $150 or $550 fee against credits or a spend-triggered night, and are fine with complimentary Silver — a 20% bonus on Base Points earned on stays, plus the fifth night free when you book a standard room stay with 100% Points. Gold on this Card exists only after $20,000 calendar-year Card spend, through the end of the next calendar year.
Takeaway: Occasional Hilton + no fee to justify → start with the no-fee Honors Card and Silver.
Example 2 — Gold plus spend / Surpass
You stay Hilton regularly enough to use complimentary Gold (80% bonus on Base Points on stays, plus the Gold stay benefits Hilton attaches to that tier) and you can either (a) put up to $50 per quarter on direct Hilton-portfolio property charges or (b) put $15,000 of eligible Card spend on the Card in a calendar year for the spend Free Night Reward. Diamond on Surpass is a $40,000 calendar-year Card-spend upgrade, not automatic. Price the card on the $150 standard fee.
Takeaway: Gold + Hilton-property credits and/or a $15k spend Free Night Reward → weigh Surpass at $150.
Example 3 — Diamond plus credits / anniversary Reward / Aspire
You are Hilton-heavy and will work the $550 fee against benefits you actually use: Diamond on every stay, the $400 participating-resort credit (two $200 semi-annual buckets), the $200 quarterly flight credit, CLEAR+ if that membership is paid with the Card (up to $219 ), the Waldorf/Conrad $100 property credit on the required 2-night Aspire-rate booking path, and the anniversary Free Night Reward that does not require spend. Extra nights at $30,000 / $60,000 calendar-year Card spend matter only if that spend would have lived on this Card anyway.
Takeaway: Diamond + used credit stack + no-spend anniversary Free Night Reward → weigh Aspire against the $550 fee.
TL;DR – Verdict
There is no single best Hilton Amex card in 2026 on the issuer pages. Choose the no-fee Honors Card when you want complimentary Silver and Hilton earn with a $0 fee and will not use mid- or high-fee credits or spend Rewards. Choose Surpass when complimentary Gold, up to $200 in Hilton-property credits, and a $15,000 -spend Free Night Reward match how you already stay and spend — treat $150 as the standard fee, not a first-year $0 channel offer. Choose Aspire when Diamond, the participating-resort / flight / CLEAR+ / Waldorf-Conrad credit stack, and the no-spend anniversary Free Night Reward are benefits you will actually use against the $550 fee. Confirm the live Amex product page and Hilton co-brand hub before applying; fees, credits, welcome offers, and Free Night Reward terms change.

Introduction
Which Hilton Amex card is best in 2026? It depends on stay frequency, whether the $550 or $150 fee will be worked against published credits and Free Night Reward triggers, and which complimentary status tier — Diamond, Gold, or Silver — you will use. There is no universal winner on the issuer pages.
This page stays inside one exact-comp frame, in this order only: the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card ( $550 , complimentary Diamond) vs the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card ( $150 standard fee, complimentary Gold) vs the Hilton Honors American Express Card ( $0 , complimentary Silver). Business Hilton Amex products are out of scope. This is decision math — fee vs published statement-credit buckets vs status vs earn categories vs Free Night Reward triggers — not a single-card review, not a lounge tour, not a certificate-valuation article, and not a generic Hilton redemption guide.
Credits only offset the fee if the named merchant types and calendars are used; unused buckets do not pay the fee. Amex does not assign a dollar value to a Free Night Reward — value depends on the cash or points cost of a standard room you can actually book. If you are still deciding whether any premium travel card fits your goals before you narrow to this Hilton trio, our Amex Plat vs CSR vs Venture X 2026 goal picker is the adjacent premium-card frame — then come back here for Aspire vs Surpass vs Honors only.
Welcome offers on the Hilton co-brand hub retrieved September 23, 2026 — Aspire 200,000 Bonus Points after $6,000 in 6 months; Surpass Free Night Reward + 130,000 Bonus Points after $3,000 in 6 months; Honors Free Night Reward + 70,000 Bonus Points after $2,000 in 6 months; all end 1/13/27 — are limited-time marketing. Label them as such and do not let them drive the evergreen verdict.
Fees at a Glance: $550 Aspire vs $150 Surpass vs $0 Honors
Start with the published fee ladder in trio order. Aspire: $550 . Surpass standard fee: $150 . No-fee Honors: $0 . Those three numbers are what the Amex Hilton category page and Hilton co-brand hub print as the ongoing annual fees.
Surpass needs one clean distinction. Some Amex referral URLs retrieved September 23, 2026 advertise a $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 . That is offer-channel copy, not the standard fee printed on the Hilton card hub and Amex Hilton category page. Evergreen fee math in this comparison uses $150 .
| Fee fact | Aspire | Surpass | Honors (no-fee) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Annual fee (standard) | $550 | $150 | $0 |
| First-year $0 language | Not the product-page fee | Channel-specific only — evergreen math uses $150 | N/A (already $0) |
| Additional Cards annual fee | No annual fee (Amex Aspire product-page FAQ) | Confirm live product page | Confirm live product page |
| Foreign transaction fee (Amex) | None | None | None |
| Published credit lines vs fee (credits only) | Up to $400 resort + $200 flight + $219 CLEAR+ = up to $819 vs $550, plus separate $100 Waldorf/Conrad path | Up to $200 Hilton-portfolio vs $150 | $0 credits vs $0 fee |
Fee vs credit arithmetic the issuer numbers support — credits only, not points or nights — is simple. Aspire publishes up to $400 resort + up to $200 flight + up to $219 CLEAR+ = up to $819 in those three statement-credit lines against a $550 fee, plus the separate Waldorf/Conrad $100 path. Those credits are capped, split by half-year or quarter, and restricted to the merchant types Amex names. Unused buckets do not pay the fee. Surpass publishes up to $200 Hilton-portfolio credits against a $150 fee; unused quarters lapse. Honors publishes $0 fee and $0 credits.
The same fee-vs-benefit framing shows up outside Hilton when you ask whether a mid-fee card is worth holding — is the Chase Ink Business Preferred $95 annual fee worth it in 2026 is a sibling fee-math page, not a fourth Hilton product. Do not import Ink numbers into this trio.
Status Ladder: Diamond vs Gold vs Silver (and Spend Upgrades)
Complimentary status while the Card is held is the second filter. Aspire = Hilton Honors Diamond. Surpass = Hilton Honors Gold. No-fee Honors = Hilton Honors Silver. Aspire already carries Diamond for as long as the Card is held; no spend upgrade is required for that tier.
| Status fact | Aspire | Surpass | Honors (no-fee) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Complimentary tier | Diamond | Gold | Silver |
| Base Points bonus on stays (as Amex/Hilton describe) | 100% bonus (Diamond) | 80% bonus (Gold) | 20% bonus (Silver) |
| Spend upgrade | Already Diamond — no spend upgrade required | $40,000 eligible CY spend → Diamond through end of next CY | $20,000 eligible CY spend → Gold through end of next CY |
| Other stay notes Amex lists | Premium Wi-Fi, space-available upgrades, executive lounge access at select properties, and more | Usual Gold stay benefits Hilton attaches to that tier | Fifth night free on standard room stay booked with 100% Points |
What Amex/Hilton attach to those complimentary tiers on the retrieved pages stays high-level here. Diamond (Aspire, or Surpass after the spend upgrade): 100% bonus on Base Points earned on stays, Premium Wi-Fi at select properties, space-available room upgrades at select properties, executive lounge access at select properties, and more — not a lounge-tour guide. Gold (Surpass complimentary; no-fee Honors after the spend upgrade): 80% bonus on Base Points earned on stays, plus the usual Gold stay benefits Hilton attaches to that tier. Silver (no-fee Honors complimentary): 20% bonus on Base Points earned on stays, plus the fifth night free when you book a standard room stay with 100% Points.
Spend upgrades are calendar-year Card spend, each through the end of the next calendar year. Surpass: $40,000 eligible purchases → Hilton Honors Diamond through the end of the next calendar year. Diamond on Surpass is not automatic. No-fee Honors: $20,000 eligible purchases → Hilton Honors Gold through the end of the next calendar year.
Status is part of the fee math only if you will use the named stay bonuses. Hotel elite access is also not the same product as a bank lounge — our Capital One Lounge DFW 2026 guide is an adjacent lounge-access contrast, not a Hilton lounge tour. Do not invent breakfast dollar values or lounge hours.
Statement Credits: Aspire Resort/Flight/CLEAR+/Waldorf vs Surpass Hilton $200 vs Honors None
Keep this a comparison of credit buckets and calendars , not a coupon checklist. The three cards do not publish the same merchant types, and unused splits lapse.
Aspire credit stack
Participating-resort credit: up to $200 in statement credits semi-annually for eligible purchases made directly with participating Hilton Resorts on the Aspire Card — up to $400 back per year. This is a participating-resort credit, not a generic Hilton-portfolio credit.
Flight credit: up to $50 in statement credits each quarter, up to $200 per year, on flight purchases made directly with an airline, through AmexTravel.com, or through the Amex Travel App.
CLEAR+ credit: up to $219 in statement credits per calendar year when you pay for a CLEAR+ membership (subject to auto-renewal) with the Aspire Card, as shown on the Aspire product page and Hilton co-brand hub. Use $219 as shown on the Aspire product page and Hilton co-brand hub.
Waldorf Astoria / Conrad path: up to $100 credit for qualifying charges at participating Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts when you book a 2-night minimum stay with the Card at HiltonHonorsAspireCard.com and select the Aspire Card Benefit rate, or by calling Hilton at 855-292-5757 with the proper booking reference. Treat this as a separate path, not as part of the $400 resort bucket.
Surpass and Honors
Surpass Hilton-property credit: up to $50 in statement credits each quarter for purchases made directly with a property in the Hilton portfolio — up to $200 annually. This is a portfolio-property credit, not the Aspire participating Hilton Resorts credit.
No-fee Honors: no resort credit, no quarterly Hilton property credit, no flight credit, and no CLEAR+ credit on the ongoing benefits list retrieved September 23, 2026.
| Credit bucket | Aspire | Surpass | Honors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hilton-side stay credit | Up to $200 semi-annually at participating Hilton Resorts (up to $400/yr) | Up to $50/quarter on direct Hilton-portfolio property charges (up to $200/yr) | None ongoing |
| Flight credit | Up to $50/quarter (up to $200/yr) | None | None |
| CLEAR+ | Up to $219 / calendar year | None | None |
| Waldorf / Conrad path | Up to $100 on required 2-night Aspire Benefit rate booking | None | None |
Arithmetic reminder: Aspire’s three statement-credit lines (resort + flight + CLEAR+) publish up to $819 against a $550 fee, plus the separate $100 Waldorf/Conrad path. Surpass publishes up to $200 against $150 . Unused splits lapse. Do not convert credits into an invented “best card” score.
Free Night Rewards: Anniversary vs Spend Triggers (No Cap Printed)
Use the phrase Free Night Reward throughout. Issuer marketing uses Free Night Reward language. Do not assign a dollar value or a Hilton-points value — Amex does not.
| Free Night Reward trigger | Aspire | Surpass | Honors (no-fee) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anniversary / renewal | Yes — first year + every renewal; no spend trigger | No automatic anniversary Reward | No ongoing anniversary Reward |
| Spend triggers (calendar year) | $30,000, then additional $30,000 (up to 3 Rewards if anniversary + both spend tiers clear) | $15,000 eligible purchases (one spend Reward) | None ongoing |
| Welcome Free Night (dated hub) | Not required for anniversary math | Welcome FNR + 130k after $3,000 / 6 months ends 1/13/27 (limited-time) | Welcome FNR + 70k after $2,000 / 6 months ends 1/13/27 only — not ongoing |
| Dollar / points cap on Reward | No cap printed on Amex Aspire, Surpass, or Honors product/benefits pages retrieved September 23, 2026. Redemption is a Hilton Free Night Reward subject to Hilton award-room rules. | ||
Aspire anniversary Reward: one complimentary Free Night Reward in the first year of Card Membership and every year upon Card renewal. No spend trigger on that Reward. Aspire spend Rewards: each calendar year, another Free Night Reward after $30,000 in purchases on the Card, and another after an additional $30,000 in purchases on the Card in the same calendar year. Three Free Night Rewards are possible in a calendar year if both spend tiers clear.
Surpass spend Reward: earn a Free Night Reward from Hilton Honors after $15,000 on eligible purchases on the Card in a calendar year. No automatic anniversary Free Night Reward on the Surpass terms retrieved September 23, 2026. Amex says redemption is arranged with Hilton — call 1-800-446-6677 with the Hilton-provided code; status is visible in the Hilton Honors account dashboard at HiltonHonors.com.
No-fee Honors: no ongoing spend-or-anniversary Free Night Reward on the Amex benefits list retrieved September 23, 2026. A welcome Free Night Reward appears only inside the dated Hilton hub offer that ends 1/13/27 — offer-window copy, not an ongoing anniversary benefit.
Cap lock: Amex product copy retrieved September 23, 2026 does not state a dollar cap or a Hilton-points cap on these co-brand Free Night Rewards. Writer language stays: no cap printed on the issuer pages. Do not invent a cap. Certificate arithmetic the issuer numbers support: Surpass can issue one spend night per calendar year at $15,000 Card spend and does not issue an anniversary night. Aspire can issue one anniversary night plus two spend nights ( $30,000 then another $30,000 ). The no-fee card does not issue an ongoing night. Do not stack those counts into a single invented best-card score.

Earn Rates on Hilton Stays and Everyday Categories
Compare only the listed Hilton-stay and everyday categories. Category tables differ; do not invent a best earn card without a spend profile. Do not invent a combined “effective multiplier” that Amex does not print — Base Points status bonuses (Diamond 100%, Gold 80%, Silver 20% on Base Points earned on stays) stack on top of stay earning as Hilton describes those tiers.
| Category (eligible purchases) | Aspire | Surpass | Honors (no-fee) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hilton portfolio hotels & resorts (direct) | 14X | 12X | 7X |
| U.S. restaurants | 7X | 6X | 5X |
| U.S. supermarkets | 3X (other) | 6X | 5X |
| U.S. gas stations | 3X (other) | 6X | 5X |
| U.S. online retail | 3X (other) | 4X | 3X (other) |
| Flights (direct / Amex Travel / App) & select car rentals | 7X | 3X (other) | 3X (other) |
| Other eligible purchases | 3X | 3X | 3X |
Contrast the tables; do not flatten them. Aspire is the only card in the trio with a 14X Hilton rate and a 7X flight / select-car / U.S.-restaurant bucket. Surpass is the only card with 4X U.S. online retail and a 6X supermarket / gas / restaurant bucket. Honors has the lowest Hilton multiple (7X) and no online-retail bonus.
Other earn-adjacent perks Amex lists that are not category multipliers: Aspire and Surpass include complimentary National Car Rental Emerald Club Executive status (enrollment required through the Amex account). Do not treat that as an earn rate.
Everyday-category framing outside Hilton lives in our Chase Freedom Unlimited vs Capital One Venture everyday spend showdown — contrast only; do not import CFU or Venture earn rates into this Hilton trio table.
Which Card by Stay-and-Spend Profile (Three Frames)
Use three decision frames, one per card/profile. Use credits, status, stays, and spend triggers as conditional math. Do not declare a universal score or a single best card. The same “which card by profile” shape shows up in our Southwest personal credit cards compared 2026 exact-comp — do not import Southwest fees or benefits here.
Frame 1 — No-fee Honors / occasional Hilton
Pick this Card when Hilton stays are occasional, you will not reliably use a $150 or $550 fee against credits or a spend-triggered night, and Silver (20% base-point bonus + fifth night free on 100% Points standard-room awards) is enough. Gold is available on this Card only after $20,000 calendar-year Card spend, through the end of the next calendar year.
Frame 2 — Surpass / Gold plus spend
Pick Surpass when you stay Hilton often enough to use Gold and can either (a) use up to $50 per quarter on direct Hilton-property charges or (b) put $15,000 of eligible Card spend on the Card in a calendar year for the spend Free Night Reward. Diamond on Surpass is a $40,000 calendar-year Card-spend upgrade, not automatic. Price the card on the $150 standard fee.
Frame 3 — Aspire / Diamond plus credits and anniversary Reward
Pick Aspire when the $550 fee is being worked against benefits you will actually use: Diamond on every stay, the $400 participating-resort credit (two $200 semi-annual buckets), the $200 quarterly flight credit, CLEAR+ if paid with the Card, the Waldorf/Conrad $100 property credit on the required 2-night Aspire-rate booking path, and the anniversary Free Night Reward that does not require spend. Extra nights at $30,000 / $60,000 calendar-year Card spend matter only if that spend would have lived on this Card anyway.
Holding more than one card in the trio is a profile question, not a default: a second annual fee is justified only if the second card’s unique bucket (Aspire anniversary Reward and resort/flight/CLEAR+/Waldorf path, or Surpass $15,000 spend Reward and $200 Hilton-property credits) would be used and is not already covered. Do not recommend stacking as a generic tactic.
When a Free Night Reward or Points stay is not the right tool for a given trip, cash hotel booking is the alternative — compare rates before you lock it in.

Conclusion / Final Thoughts
There is no single best Hilton Amex card in 2026 on the issuer pages. Match fee, status, credits, and Free Night Reward triggers to how you already stay and spend: $550 / $150 standard / $0 ; Diamond / Gold / Silver; Aspire credit stack vs Surpass $200 Hilton-property vs Honors none; Aspire anniversary plus $30k / $30k vs Surpass $15k vs Honors none ongoing; and no cap printed on the issuer pages for those Free Night Rewards.
Welcome offers remain dated through 1/13/27 and must be confirmed on the live Hilton co-brand hub before anyone applies. Confirm the live Amex product page and Hilton co-brand hub as well — fees, credits, and Free Night Reward terms change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Hilton Amex card is best in 2026?
There is no single best card on the issuer pages. The no-fee Honors Card is the default for occasional Hilton stays and complimentary Silver. Surpass fits Gold plus up to $200 in Hilton-property credits and a $15,000 -spend Free Night Reward. Aspire fits Diamond, the participating-resort / flight / CLEAR+ / Waldorf-Conrad credits, and the anniversary Free Night Reward against a $550 fee.
What is the standard Surpass annual fee?
$150 , as shown on the Amex Hilton category page and Hilton co-brand hub. Some Amex referral URLs show a $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 ; that is channel-specific offer copy, not the standard fee.
How does Aspire status compare with Surpass status?
Aspire includes complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond for as long as the Card is held. Surpass includes complimentary Gold. Surpass can upgrade to Diamond after $40,000 eligible Card spend in a calendar year, through the end of the next calendar year.
What are the credit differences across the three cards?
Aspire publishes up to $400 participating-resort (two $200 semi-annual buckets), up to $200 flight ( $50 per quarter), up to $219 CLEAR+ per calendar year, and a separate up-to- $100 Waldorf/Conrad path on a 2-night Aspire Benefit rate booking. Surpass publishes up to $50 per quarter / $200 per year on direct Hilton-portfolio property charges. The no-fee Honors Card publishes no ongoing resort, Hilton-property, flight, or CLEAR+ credit.
How do anniversary Free Night Rewards differ from spend Free Night Rewards?
Aspire issues one Free Night Reward in the first year and every year upon renewal with no spend trigger, plus spend Rewards after $30,000 and an additional $30,000 in the same calendar year. Surpass issues a Free Night Reward after $15,000 eligible purchases in a calendar year and has no automatic anniversary Reward on the terms retrieved September 23, 2026. The no-fee Honors Card has no ongoing anniversary or spend Reward.
Is there a dollar or points cap on these Free Night Rewards?
Amex Aspire, Surpass, and Honors product/benefits pages retrieved September 23, 2026 do not print a dollar maximum or a Hilton-points maximum. Say no cap printed on the issuer pages . Do not invent a cap. Redemption is a Hilton Free Night Reward subject to Hilton award-room rules.
How do Silver and Gold upgrades work on the no-fee Honors Card and on Surpass?
No-fee Honors starts at complimentary Silver and can earn Gold after $20,000 eligible Card spend in a calendar year, through the end of the next calendar year. Surpass starts at complimentary Gold and can earn Diamond after $40,000 eligible Card spend in a calendar year, through the end of the next calendar year. Aspire is already Diamond with no spend upgrade required.
Should I hold more than one Hilton Amex card?
Only if the second card’s unique published bucket would actually be used and is not already covered — Aspire’s anniversary Reward and resort/flight/CLEAR+/Waldorf path, or Surpass’s $15,000 spend Reward and $200 Hilton-property credits. A second annual fee is not a default recommendation.
Do welcome offers change which card to pick?
No. Hilton co-brand hub offers retrieved September 23, 2026 (Aspire 200,000 points after $6,000 in 6 months; Surpass Free Night Reward + 130,000 points after $3,000 in 6 months; Honors Free Night Reward + 70,000 points after $2,000 in 6 months; all end 1/13/27) are limited-time marketing. Confirm before applying; do not let them drive the evergreen verdict.
Does Aspire charge a fee for Additional Cards?
The Amex FAQ on the Aspire product page states no annual fee for Additional Cards. That does not change the $550 primary fee or the Surpass/Honors fee comparison.
