Is this card worth it?
Net annual cost is the annual fee minus only the credits you would actually use. Every credit starts unchecked, so the first number you see is the full fee. The amounts were read from the issuer's own pages on October 3, 2026, and each credit links to the page it came from.
This page does not have apply buttons or affiliate links to these cards. Card issuers set the fees and the credits, and they can change them. The advertising disclosure for the site is in the footer. More card guides are in the credit cards hub.
How to read this
Face value is the maximum printed by the issuer. Real value is what you would have spent anyway, or the cash that actually posts. A $300 dining credit is not worth $300 if you would not eat at those restaurants, and a monthly credit is not worth twelve months if you skip some months.
Check a credit only if you would use it. Leave the dollar box blank to count the printed maximum, or type a lower amount. Points stay out of the math until you type a dollar value of your own. Credits paid every four years, credits quoted per stay with no annual cap, and miles with no printed dollar value are listed under the checkboxes and are not subtracted.

This table is in the page itself. It does not need JavaScript. "In the annual total" means the calculator can subtract it after you check it. Rows marked No are shown so the cap is visible, and they are not turned into a yearly dollar amount.

Left out on purpose
These items are not in the table and not in the total. A figure stays out when no dollar cap is printed, or when a "value" line is not a credit. When two issuer pages disagree on a credit that is shown above, the calculator uses the smaller figure and says so next to that credit.
- Amex Platinum: Saks Fifth Avenue credit. A 2025 fact sheet still mentions up to $50 semi-annually. The live product page and the live cardmember terms we checked do not mention Saks. It is not listed.
- Amex Platinum: Welcome offer. No single public point amount. The product page says you may be eligible for 100,000, 125,000, or 150,000 points, or another offer. An older terms address that once printed a higher ceiling returned an error on October 3, 2026.
- Chase Sapphire Reserve and Preferred: DashPass and Apple subscription "value" lines. Chase prints these as the stated value of a complimentary membership, not as a statement credit. The Apple figure is $288 on the Reserve product page and a different figure on another Chase page. They are not added.
- Chase Sapphire Reserve: Lounge "over $850" and The Edit "over $550" lines. Those are Chase's stated values, not statement credits. The Edit statement credit of up to $500 is included separately. The lounge figure is not.
- Chase Sapphire Reserve: Credits that require $75,000 in purchases. The $500 Southwest Chase Travel credit and The Shops at Chase credit are tied to a spend level this calculator does not model.
- United Club Card: 25% back on inflight purchases. Chase says this is a statement credit and does not print a dollar cap. A cap is not invented here.
- Capital One Venture X: Anniversary miles as dollars. 10,000 miles are printed for the consumer card. A dollar value is printed only for Venture X Business. No dollar amount is assigned.

Questions
What is net annual cost on this page?
It is the annual fee minus the credits you check, minus any dollar amount you type for points. A credit you leave unchecked counts as zero. Welcome offers are not part of the subtraction.
Why do the boxes start unchecked?
A credit reduces the fee only if you would use it. The page starts at the full annual fee, which is the cost if you use none of the credits.
What is face value, and what should I type?
Face value is the maximum the issuer prints, often as "up to" that amount, and often split across months or half-years that do not roll over. If you leave the amount blank, the total uses that printed maximum. Type a lower number when you would not use the full credit. You cannot enter more than the printed maximum.
Are welcome offers included in the annual total?
No. When an issuer page printed a public welcome offer, it is shown as text under that card. It is a one-time offer, and it is not subtracted from the annual fee. Cards without one public amount do not show a figure.
Why are some credits listed but not subtracted?
Some are paid once every four years. Some are a dollar amount per stay, and the issuer does not print an annual cap. Anniversary miles with no printed dollar value are listed the same way. Subtracting those as if they arrived in full every year would invent a yearly amount.
How current are the figures?
Each card says the figures were checked on October 3, 2026. The Sources checked list names the issuer pages. Issuers change terms. Read the linked page before you apply or renew.
