Premium Flights Deals - May 5
Welcome to Sunday! There are quite a few great premium flight deals available from both coasts. Since we’ve transitioned our flying from Star Alliance to Oneworld, we are always on the lookout for flights that can help maximize our British Airways tier point earnings.
On Flyertalk this week, it was pointed out that there are some amazing deals from both Seattle and Boston. All of these deals are in domestic first class seats on American Airlines, and generally involve a connection through Charlotte.
The first option is from Seattle (SEA) to Minneapolis (MSP) for $243 one-way, with a connection in Charlotte. These one-way flights would earn 180 tier points, and have good availability through October 2024.
There is a similar deal from Seattle (SEA) to Detroit (DTW) for slightly more at $296 one-way in domestic first class. However, this deal does not seem to go past the month of July.
There are also some deals from Boston (BOS) to the west coast. In this case, we’re seeing flights from Boston (BOS) to Burbank (BUR) and Boston (BOS) to San Diego (SAN) in domestic first class on American Airlines for less than they usually are. While definitely not inexpensive flights, they do offer a significant savings over what has historically been seen on Google Flights
For example: Boston (BOS) to Burbank (BUR) on June 6 for $429 and earning 220 British Airways tier points. Google Flights is showing this as $751 cheaper than usual
Another example is: Boston (BOS) to San Diego on June 4 for $463 and earning 220 British Airways tier points. Google Flights is showing this as $343 cheaper than usual.
Each of these deals seem to offer significant value for those looking to fly in domestic first class from coast-to-coast. In addition, if you’re already flying those routes, it’s a great opportunity to maximize the number of British Airways tier points you’re earning on those flights.
